Choose Lecture, Meeting or Interview in the studio. Your choice changes how the first notes are organised.

Record with permission. Allow microphone access, speak and check that the level moves. Keep the page open and your device awake.
Finish and listen. Play a short part back. The recorder captures your microphone; it does not automatically capture the sound of a Zoom or Teams call. With headphones, other participants may be missing. Import the meeting’s audio recording if you have permission to use it.
Create your notes. See the price, then confirm. Processing costs 3p per recorded minute, rounded up to the next penny. The transcript and first notes are included. Recording alone does not spend credit.
Review and keep. Check names, figures and sources. Edit the notes without another AI charge. Choose Save a copy for your account, and download important work.

Where does my work go?

The working copy and recording recovery are on this browser and device. They are separated by LecturePen account, but browser storage is not a secure vault: people with access to your device may be able to access it. Clearing browser data can remove it.

Save a copy uploads your notes and attached audio to your private account library. After saving or opening a copy, edits to its notes save to that account copy automatically while the workspace is open. Check the save message before leaving. New recordings need a new copy. The library holds up to 500 documents and 500 MB of audio per account.

Audio imports and mobile recording

Use WebM/Opus, MP3, Ogg/Opus or 16-bit PCM WAV, up to 120 minutes and 24 MB. Some encodings are not supported. LecturePen checks the actual file before paid processing. For recording, Chrome or Edge on a computer is the recommended route. Keep your mobile browser in front and your screen awake; calls, screen locking and switching apps can interrupt recording.

Payment or processing problem?

Check Processing activity for a charge or reserved credit. Use Find recent payments if a completed top-up is missing. Rechecking a payment does not charge you again. If a processing result is uncertain, keep the recording and contact us before starting a separate request.

Email hello@falconcreative.co.uk with your account email, approximate time and the problem. Please do not send passwords, API keys or a full payment-card number. You do not need to send a private recording unless we agree it is needed.
